Currently Chair of the Graduate Program, Department of Visual Arts, York University, Yvonne Singer received her Master of Fine Arts, York University in 1981. Singer has participated in numerous group exhibitions including The Ironic Turn, organized by the Canadian Museum of Contemporary Art, Toronto (which traveled to Germany and France in 2004), and Staging Memory, Montreal Holocaust Centre, Montreal (2000) as well as solo exhibitions in Toronto at the Koffler Gallery, The Red Head Gallery and the Toronto Sculpture Garden, and Articule Gallery in Montreal. Singer is on the Board of Directors of the Toronto Arts Council, the Koffler Centre for the Arts and C International Contemporary Art. Her work includes sculpture, video and installation.
