Marika Elisabeth Herédi was born in Budapest, Hungary. She moved to Canada in 1966. After graduating with a Bachelor's degree from Concordia University, Montréal, she obtained a Diploma in Art Education.

She has taught in elementary schools on the West Island, and has taught children's art for several years at the Baie d'Urfe Arts Association and at Centennial Hall in Beaconsfield.

She involved herself in the artistic circles and exhibited professionally in Montréal.
