Susan was born in Hungary and immigrated to Canada at an early age. She is a McGill University graduate in fine arts. In the past 25years she has explored multi media compositions; clay, fiber art, and more recently began gravitating towards watercolor, which has become her medium of choice.

Her inspiration is Cheng-Kee Chee who wrote “artists should not be content with the specific subject matter in which they excel….artists should be sensitive to changes around them and, like scientists, be constantly exploring, experimenting, and discovering new ways of expression. As watercolorists, we cannot ignore the rich east Asian water media traditions.”

Thus, Susan continues to challenge herself with the possibilities of this medium; with marouflage, with expressive brushwork that incorporates Japanese washi paper collage and with other oriental techniques liberally utilizing Chinese inks. Her approach is always an ongoing development.

She has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Quebec, and is a professional member of: CHAC (Canadian Hungarian Artists Collective) and of B.A.A. (Beaconsfield Art Association).
